Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated – Eta Gamma Chapter.Chapter eligibility does NOT guarantee that the chapter will participate in membership intake. The chapters listed below will be eligible for Spring 2023 MIP however, may still choose not to or may become ineligible to conduct membership intake. Please follow the steps below to access the Greek Life Perspectives (GLP) Workshop. Upon successful completion of this workshop, the student’s name will exist in the Fraternity and Sorority Life database acknowledging that they have completed this requirement. Students that have taken this course in the spring of 2022 will not need to complete this course to be eligible for membership intake in the spring of 2023. The Greek Life Perspectives (GLP) Workshop is required for all students that wish to participate in the membership intake at Prairie View A&M University. IGC/NPHC GENERAL MEMBER INFORMATION:Ģ.A full-time, currently enrolled studentĤ.Completed minimum fifteen (15) hours community service requirement for respective organizations. ![]() Click on the circle icon (top right corner)Ĥ.A full-time student (12 or more credit hour load), currently enrolled.ĥ.Does NOT have any open student conduct cases.Ħ.Complete one (1) Greek Life Perspectives Course ( CLICK HERE).To submit community service hours, use the PV Paw Link portal (see directions below).Please note, chapters may require additional hours as part of their application process. 30 community service hours are required by PVAMU for Spring 2023 MIP (must be completed during the 2022-2023 calendar years). Transfer students must have earned 12 credit hours of the 30 hours required from PVAMU.Ģ.Must have at least a 2.800 cumulative GPAģ. ![]() MIP GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PROSPECTIVE MEMBER:ġ.Earned at least 30 credit hours at PVAMU. EXPECTATIONS OF ORGANIZATIONS CONDUCTING INTAKE:ġ.The academic mission of the institution will be upheld and promoted to new members.Ģ.The membership activities will not interfere with academic endeavors or class schedules.ģ.Chapters may only select up to fifty (50) students for membership intake.Ĥ.The selection of new members will be free of any form of mental and/or physical abuse and hazing.ĥ.Chapters will not engage in pre or post hazing activities.Ħ.Chapter advisors will be present at all membership related activities.ħ.Chapters must complete all required paperwork in a timely fashion.Ĩ.No membership activity includes the presence or consumption of alcohol.ĩ.Chapters must adhere to all recommended safety guidelines to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Failure to follow University regulations could result in violations that could potentially impact the student and the organization. Please note, all students and organizations must follow University regulations. NOTE: All requests for gatherings must including COVID-19 mitigation strategies (hand-sanitizing, disinfecting, occupancy management, etc.) in order to be considered for approval.Īny organization conducting membership intake activities must receive official authorization in writing from the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life before membership intake activities commence. All activities must be submitted via PV Paw Link for approval as well as approved by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.
